The queen 'Padmavati', pride of Rajput Community; Controversy, Reality and Facts




Introduction 

 ‘Padmavti’ or ‘Padmani’, the queen of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, is considered a ‘valiant’, ‘velour’  ‘lionhearted’ and ‘fearless’ for Rajput community. To protect the dignity, honor or pride of Rajput, she with other women took a step of ‘Jauhar’ or ‘self- immolation’. 


 ‘Allauddin Khilji’, Sultane of Delhi, wanted to subdue ‘Padmavati’ as fascinated with her beauty.  She did ‘jauhar’ or ‘self-immolation’ instead of to be conquered by him.

 Controversy

Sanjay Lela Bhanshali, the director of movie named ‘Padmavati’, depicted the queen ‘Padmavati’ in his movie which will be released on 1 December.

 Rajput is threating him to chop  off his nose if movie release as movie distorting the history fact claimed by Karni Sena, the Rajput organization.

 Bhanshali who before made a many movies based on history, said through video, ‘’there is nothing in movie that distorts the history fact’’. Out of 29 states, in 7 states, people along with women are protesting, setting effigy of bhansali on fire, using absurd, slued or vulgar words against the director and actress, Deepika Padukon, who is a protagonist of the queen ‘Padmavati’.


 In the song, ‘Ghummar’ Deepika Padukon was seen dacing in attire of Rajput culture amongst people , in which her midriff is revealing that filled Rajput community with an anger saying that Rani ‘Padmavati’ or other women never did dace in fronts of people.

Facts
  
The queen ‘Padmavati’ who was elegance in her beauty, was, first, depicted in a poem by sufi poet ‘Mohammad Jayasi’ in 15 centaury. So far, there is no foolproof except oral proofs clammed by Rajput community. The Delhi Sultane, Allaluddin Khalji who fascinated with the beauty of ‘Padmavati’ attacked Chittor Ganj to make Padmavati himself by capturing her husband Ratan Singh.  With no having fact, Rajput community said, ‘’Bhansali is distorting the fact of Rajput community”. 

‘Khalji’ captured ‘Rana Ratan Singh’,the husband of Rani ‘Padmavati’, by saying that once he wanted to take a glimpse of rani ‘Padmavati’. He saw her at the reflection of her onto water according to a deal made between Khalji and Rana Ratan Singh.

My stand

First, I criticized the way ‘Karni Sena’ , the Rajput community organization which is blatantly threatening the director and actress.

It is the movie which story, Bhansali claimed there is nothing in the movie that hurts the sentiment of any religious, is based on the poem not the foolproof fact. And, he already said, ‘’let movie be cleared by CBFC and then decide”. However, he is being pulled.
